I have worked in regional, metropolitan and overseas newsrooms. After a long career in newspapers, I become the longest-serving editor of Brisbane Times – an online publication ranked among the top 20 news sites in Australia.

I recently completed a newsroom leadership fellowship with the Google News Initiative and Columbia Journalism School.

Then in mid-2021, I joined the Australian Broadcasting Corporation as deputy editor of abc.net.au – the number one news site in the country.
